Washington senior Olivia Gruver won the women's pole vault at the 44th Stanford Invitational, eclipsing the 2015 collegiate outdoor record of 15-5.75 (4.72m) held by Arkansas graduate Sandi Morris with a second-attempt clearance at 15-6.25 (4.73m) at Cobb Track and Angell Field. Gruver, a two-time NCAA Division 1 Outdoor champion, equaled the No. 5 performer in U.S. history and matched the No. 27 performer all-time in the world. Gruver ranks No. 3 in the world this year and only former Stephen F. Austin standout Demi Payne boasts a higher indoor mark in collegiate history than Gruver's clearance.
